Caracas, Nov 23 (Prensa Latina) The Minister of Petroleum of Venezuela, Eulogio del Pino, highlighted that the Bolivarian government developed an extraordinary work to recover prices of the hydrocarbon that since 2014 until now keep being low.
He stressed the work of President Nicolas Maduro to achieve consensus of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other nations out of the bloc to reduce their production of crude.

The performance of the head of State and his effort in the last year was recognized by the Secretary General of OPEC, Mohammed Barkindo, in his recent visit to the country, told in an interview for the program Zurda KIonducta, screened by Venezolana de Television.

According to Del Pino, during the last months positive results have been obtained and next Wednesday, November 30, a meeting will be held with OPEC ministers where should be approved the plan to reduce world production of the black gold.

The Minister also denounced the media campaign boosted by the United States and the international right forces to discredit the country in the financial sector, particularly in the oil industry in order to depress investments of foreign capital.

Overr the last two years, the oil market has faced different challenges, mainly due to the excess offer and the disproportionate increase of schist oil production in the United States.

That situation forced the decline of prices, affecting economic growth of the OPEC member countries and the rest of producers.

Several weeks ago, Maduro made a work tour to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar and Azerbaidzhan in which he boosted the agreement to freeze production in member states of the organization and independent producers.
